Since 1984 when the first subdivision was recorded at Grassy Meadows Sky Ranch Airport Community, Southwestern Utah 's Washington County, that includes St. George, Utah, spectacular Zion National Park, including the communities of Hurricane, Santa Clara, Ivins, Springdale have all become the gateway to Utah's Color County including Lake Powell, Bryce Canyon National Park, North Rim Grand Canyon, Canyonlands National Park, Brain Head Ski Resort, Southern Colorado, Northern Arizona and Northern New Mexico.
In fact, Washington county is one of the fastest growing counties in the United States and the St. George Utah area is considered one of the top retirement destinations because of the proximity to the western United States major metropolitan regions. Because of this, many business' have located there headquarters or major distribution centers here, and our residents of Sky Ranch have also discovered this convenience with the added mobility of living with their plane. Washington County has a vast and differing landscape from the 2000 ft high desert elevation of the Virgin River Gorge on I-15, north to the slick red rock walls of Zion National Park that has been carved by the Virgin River that flows through the western edge of the Colorado plateau, to the over 10,000 ft peaks of the Pine Valley Mountains that together provide a fresh supply of needed water in our arid desert valleys.
The water from Zion's Virgin River and the Pine Valley Mountains are the sources of our culinary and irrigation supply for our valley of "Grassy Meadows" Ranch, named by The John Wesley Powell Survey Expedition in the 1870's, we have masterplanned parts of, three sections of ground, totaling nearly 1500 acres, including the communities of Cliffdwellers, Grassy Meadows Sky Ranch Airport Community and finally Copper Rock, a 900 acre master planned residential and destination resort community. The plats below are a mere glimpse of the ever changing goal of good eco-friendly planning that considers the environment over maximized densities.
